Update On Retinal Imaging

Join us for a comprehensive review of coding and reimbursement procedures surrounding retinal imaging, including the new CPT code associated with Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCT-A).

Retinal imaging is frequently ordered and can be very effective in diagnosing and monitoring conditions in the back of the eye such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. However, seeking reimbursement for these procedures can sometimes be challenging.

This year, CPT introduced code 92137 to cover the use of OCT-A imaging. However, because the code is so new, there is little guidance on how to use it or how payors will process claims for reimbursement. There are also additional complexities associated with coding for other retinal imaging techniques due to a lack of standardization and differing requirements for each procedure.

Join us for this webinar where we will be reviewing the various retinal imaging options and how to navigate the reimbursement process using the latest available information. Areas we’ll cover include:

  • Indications for each procedure
  • Coverage guidelines
  • Appropriate frequency of testing
  • Coding combinations and bundling rules
  • Essential documentation requirements

Get caught up on the latest in coding and reimbursement for retinal imaging and help ensure your claims for reimbursement are accurate.
