Diana Buck, RN, BSN, CNOR
Nurse Consultant
Diana Buck joined MCG as a nurse consultant with more than 10 years of surgical experience. Six of those were in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) setting. She has a passion for developing ASCs, planning efficient set-ups, and streamlining daily operations. Her role is not only to guide clinical directors towards licensure and accreditation but to equip them with the tools they need to successfully manage an ASC.
Diana’s love for surgery landed her a position in the main OR of Shawnee Mission Medical Center straight out of nursing school (University of Kansas Medical Center). In less than a year, she was assigned leadership and education roles, leading her down the path of nurse management. She went on to assist in opening the Epic Surgery Center from the construction phase through CMS certification and deemed status accreditation. This success led to another, in which she helped open and operate the KU Eye Surgery and Laser Center as its Clinical Director. In her latest position before joining the MCG team, Diana served as Director of Clinical Operations at North Point Surgery Center.
Diana lives in the Kansas City area with her husband Brandon and son Grady. They enjoy camping and exploring in their Polaris ranger. She loves to cook and try new food and restaurants.
